After growing up in Huntington, West Virginia, Dr. Ann attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and graduated with a B.A. degree in Anthropology/ Sociology. She then went on to dental school at the Medical College of Virginia which is a part of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Graduating in 1996 with a DDS degree, she and her husband moved to Huntington while her husband pursued his higher education. Dr. Miller worked in private practice in Charleston, WV and worked for a non-profit medical/dental facility by providing dental services to the homeless.
In 1998, the Millers moved to Chambersburg, PA. Dr. Miller worked for a group practice for 5 years prior to establishing her own practice. In November 2002, Miller Family Dentistry opened. Dr. Miller had a dream to provide dental services in a friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. Understanding that many people have a fear of the dentist, Dr. Miller wants to make sure each patient is comfortable and calm. Dr. Miller cares about each individual patient and provides the best care for each individual need.
Dr. Miller is proud of her modern office and stays up to date on the latest technology in the dental field. She loves to take continuing education classes to ensure she is well educated on the latest techniques in dentistry. She is very proud of her team of employees. Dr. Miller feels that each team member provides the utmost service to the patients and has the genuine concern for each patient. Dr. Miller’s proudest moment is when a patient is elated or has tears of joy due to a simple procedure that enhances the smile of that patient.
Aside for maintaining a busy office, Dr. Miller is also a wife and a mother of three beautiful children. Her community involvement includes being a member of Central Presbyterian Church, past board member of the United Way of Franklin County, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the dentist for the Chambersburg Area School District. In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Miller enjoys reading, scrapbooking, crafting, cooking and baking, and raising service puppies for Leader Dog International.
Tim is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He is the Business Manager and token male at Miller Family Dentistry. He has a B.A. Degree from Kenyon College and a Masters in Athletic Administration from Marshall University. When Dr. Miller decided to open her own dental practice, Tim agreed to help her with his business background. He was only going to stay for a little while and now is in his 13th year and has been wonderful husband to Dr. Miller for 20 years. Tim is very knowledgeable about dental insurance and keeps the patients accounts in order.
When Tim is not at the office, he is busy with the three Miller children. He maintains a full taxi schedule with shuttling the kids to school and activities. He is an avid baseball fan and knows about every statistic about any major league baseball player. He enjoys collecting baseball memorabilia and has a goal to go to every Major League baseball park in the United States.
Megan recently joined Miller Family Dentistry after graduating from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 2011. She is originally from Warfordsburg, Pa but is now residing in McConnellsburg, Pa with her husband.
When she is not at work, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to bake and go fishing. Her husband even proposed by putting the engagement ring in a tackle box!
Megan says that she honestly loves her job and not many people can say that! She loves interacting with new people and joking with her co-workers. Although she doesn’t look old enough to be a hygienist, she has proven to be a vital asset to Miller Family Dentistry.
Hannah is a graduate of Chambersburg Area High School, Harrisburg Community College in Dental Assisting and Keystone Technical Institute with a certificate in Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA). She was born and raised in Chambersburg.
After completing an internship with Miller Family Dentistry, she was able to join our “amazeballs” team. Although she is fairly new as a team member, she is not new to Dr. Miller. She has been a patient of Dr. Miller’s since she was 12 years old. She had been telling Dr. Miller for many years that she wanted to go into the dental field and has always enjoyed her time at Miller Family Dentistry.
Hannah stays extremely busy outside of the office. She is a Cheerleading coach for a local cheerleading organization. She is an avid movie watcher with a large DVD collection. She loves cooking and trying different foods. Hannah is always on-the-go with family and friends. She keeps everyone laughing at Miller Family Dentistry.
Christy says that she has been at Miller Family Dentistry forever. She has been with the office since June 2002. She started as a receptionist just 7 months after the opening of Miller Family Dentistry. She quickly moved to the “back” of the office and was trained to be a dental assistant. Christy recently received her certification in Expanded Function Dental Assisting.
She has an innate ability to maintain and calm the chaos in the office. Along with being a chairside assistant, Christy is in charge of all the ordering and making sure the office runs smoothly for the patients and her co-workers. She does a fantastic job presenting treatment plans to patients and is able to answer most any question. Christy is a vital part of the everyday happenings of Miller Family Dentistry.
Christy is an amazing cook and educates the entire office on different foods. We tease her about her love of bacon. Christy really stays busy at home with her husband, young son, and her dog, Bondi.
Kristin has been working in the dental field since 2007 and with Miller Family Dentistry since 2010. Her duties include answering phones, scheduling and financial coordination. She enjoys the relaxed atmosphere that Dr. Miller has created and the close knit staff. Kristin’s favorite part in the field of dentistry is being a part of something that is important to people and makes them smile.
Kristin has lived in Chambersburg since 1999. In her free time she enjoys cooking, working out, shopping and spending time with friends and family.
Cristi is a 2015 graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. While Cristi was in high school, she spent a day job shadowing at Miller Family Dentistry. We couldn’t wait until she got her hygiene degree so she could come work for us! She has become a great asset to Miller Family. Cristi enjoys educating patients on new products or techniques that will help improve the oral hygiene of her patients. She loves the fact that all the employees of Miller Family Dentistry work as a team and are like a close-knit family. Having grown up and lived her whole life in Chambersburg, Cristi enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She now spends her free time working on her house, a fixer upper. She is great at DYI projects and loves to do crafts.
Kelly has been working in the field of dentistry since 1986 and for Dr. Miller since 2007. She is a graduate of Allegany College of Maryland with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Her favorite part of the practice of dentistry is meeting new people. She enjoys working with Dr. Miller because of Dr. Miller’s caring personality and how personable she is with her patients. Kelly’s favorite aspect of her job is getting to know her patients and making a difference in their oral health.
Kelly is a native of Chambersburg, PA, and has lived here all her life. Her family includes her husband, son and daughter. Kelly’s non-work activities include spending time with her family, reading, and gardening.
Melissa has been a dental assistant since 2006 and joined Miller Family Dentistry in October 2013. She enjoys the flexibility and the variability that happens in a dental office. She likes working with patients and trying to make the feel comfortable during their dental treatment. She loves her co-workers at Miller Family Dentistry and likes that the office is very team-oriented. She feels that they all work hard together and that makes it easier on the patients. Melissa has a very calming manner and a bright cheery smile. When she is not working as a dental assistant, Melissa has her own cupcake business. She bakes cupcakes for birthdays, events and weddings. They are super delicious and sometimes the MFD team benefits from leftovers! She is also a crazy runner who has done marathons and 50 mile runs.Although she is a native of Chambersburg, she now lives in Shippensburg with her husband. They enjoy going to antique flea markets together, watching movies and going to the beach.
